From duet to Dubai dream team.

The entrepreneurial couple know a thing or two about numbers. Although Marnie and Oliver found each other through music. They got to know each other during their studies - electric guitar and singing - and it quickly became clear that they also wanted to harmonize with each other on a professional level.

Their entrepreneurial journey, peppered with smaller and larger adventures, led them to great success and financial independence: Oliver is a sought-after stock market trader and trading coach, Marnie is also a coach - but more in the direction of mindset and strengthening positive emotions - as well as a supporting marketing expert. Since founding their online stock exchange school, both have been convinced ablefyr.

The journey is the game.

The entrepreneurial couple are not afraid of new beginnings. After graduating, they followed their passion for music and founded the music agency Eventhorizont. On top of this, Oliver, a trained precious metals trader, ran a thriving precious metals company with Marnie.

After ten exciting and intensive years of agency life with offices in Hamburg, Munich and Vienna, the decision to become a trader was made overnight, so to speak.

He has always had an unusual and varied interest: guitarist in a scandal-free metal band, gamer, podcaster, author, lecturer, early riser and early-to-bed walker. There are harmonies and recurring patterns in both music and games, says Oli. The same applies to financial markets and stock exchange transactions.

Learning from the best to pass on the best knowledge.

Oliver came to trading through a friend. One day, he gave him a trading app with a promise of quick profits. Challenge accepted. After gambling away his tuition fees, bad teachers and tough learning successes, Oliver wanted to do it right. He went to London and trained as a professional trader on a renowned professional trading floor. In addition to extensive knowledge of share trading and ETFs in general, Oliver also gained his expertise in day and swing trading here.

What he sorely missed at the beginning of his career as a stock market trader, he now passes on full-time: sound and, above all, understandable expert knowledge about the fortunes of bulls and bears. 2021 saw the birth of the Sparing Academy, along with its YouTube channel and its own podcast "Die Börsenschule". And ablefy was there right from the start. Because the Sparing Academy attaches great importance to seriousness, genuine expertise and reliability.

Target groups

The Sparing Academy is generally aimed at people who are seriously interested in stock market trading. From beginners with no previous knowledge to advanced casual traders and professional traders, everything is included.

Before starting the stock exchange school, a trading personality test is recommended and a thirty-minute consultation beforehand. We accept a maximum of five new participants per month.

Business model

Since the beginning of 2024, the Sparing Academy has been based in Dubai and has the legal form of a Free Zone Company (FZCo), which is comparable to a German GmbH. Sales with ablefy are made in its own name in compliance with the German GDPR. In addition to its own ablefy app, the Sparing Academy also has a well-frequented YouTube channel and its own postcast format.

The Sparing Academy has been with ablefy since 2021. Before that, they initially tried out a different modular software system and a competitor's sales platform. Marnie, who is responsible for marketing at the Sparing Academy, felt that one of the things that was important when switching to ablefy was the independent design of their payment page and app.

I'm a fan of consistent branding. And with ablefy, you also have the option of publishing your own app under your own branding, notes Marnie. It was also important to her that ablefy is a German company with applicable GDPR and German-speaking support that you can rely on in all eventualities.

In addition to minimal bureaucracy and maximum tax relief, the main reasons for Marnie and Oliver to emigrate were simply wanderlust and a love of the Golden City on the Persian Gulf. They arrived in the entrepreneurial paradise at the beginning of 2024 - thanks in part to the business-friendly Dubai authorities.

Among other things, proof of a business plan and business premises are required for company formation and work visas. Marnie and Oliver also set up a new ablefy account with the appropriate legal form in Dubai - for example from GmbH to LLC - as well as a new company account. Set up the payment methods and they were done. What seems almost unimaginable in Germany is an obligatory service for newcomers in Dubai: almost everything can be conveniently applied for online.
